Emily Dettman provides both tradtional office sessions and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions. Emily has experience addressing therapeutic issues which involve: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, self-injurious behaviors, behavioral issues, ADHD, sensory integration issues and developmental delays. She has experience providing individual, group and family therapy. In 2005, Emily completed certification in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She is a certified equine specialist and mental health professional through the O.K. Corral Series. Emily has also been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and uses this approach in sessions. Emily does not hold a Christain counseling certificate; however, offers sessions which incorperate faith-based interventions.

Emily Dettman is a Licensed Professional Counselor holding a Masters Degree in Clinical Professional Psychology and a certificate in Clinical Child and Family Studies. Emily has been in the mental health field since 2005 and has experience working with populations which include: adults with severe mental illness, children and adolescents in the residential setting, children and adolescents in the inpatient setting and children in the therapeutic education setting, adolescents and adults in the community counseling program. Emily created and directed a multi-dimensional equine assisted therapy program in Georgia from 2011-2015. Emily is currently the owner and primary therapist of the practice.
