I'm not like other counselors. I'm easy going and will work with you to meet you where you are. I utilize effective techniques and teach you strategies to better your life. I'm here to walk beside you and not guide you, and I would love for you to go on this journey with me. Healing isn't always easy, it almost never is, but it's worth it. I think it's great that you have already taken the first step by reaching out. I know it wasn't easy.
I love helping others. I believe that I am called to this profession, and I feel blessed that I get to walk with others on their journey to healing.

It's a family business. My mom got her degree in counseling when I was in middle school. At the time I was homeschooled so she would bring me to her classes. In highschool, I took a psychology course and pursued my degrees to be a counselor following highschool graduation. I always knew I wanted to help other bring healing into their lives.
I've worked with clients of a wide range of ages, 5-65 years old. The issues I've seen the most are anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem and social issues.
The counselor/client relationship is very important. If you don't click with your counselor, then you may want to find a new one. It's important that you feel understood, validated, empowered and trusted.
