About

I stand for people joyfully standing on their own two feet. I provoke authenticity and alignment. I am an expert at helping people find the missing pieces of the puzzle of life. I value empathy and finding the catalyst that creates new solutions. I teach resiliency, mindfulness, accountability, boundary-setting, and life skills. If you choose to work wtih me, you have the option of using equine-assisted life coaching sessions. You can come to my farm or I can arrange for a location near you to facilitate "horse therapy" sessions. I can work with you over the phone or via video conferencing.

I am a certified life coach with a Masters in Humanistic Psycnology, certified Equine Experiential Education Facilitator, certifed Emotional Poverty Facilitator, and have years of continuing education in trauma-informed therapies, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, autism spectrum, and a host of other subjects.

Frequently asked questions

I work by phone, video conferencing, and in person. I like to work in chunks of 12 sessions because we typically see lasting changes taking hold at about the 12th week mark. This is an average length. I have worked as long as a year with some people. Based on client issues, goals, and resources, we create an individualized 12-week plan that will get tweaked as needed. If I am seeing clients in person, we can make arrangements for proper social distancing. Fees may vary for group coaching (families, corporate teams, couples, etc.), travel over 50 miles round trip, and equine-assisted sessions not held at my barn.

I have a Master's in Humanistic Psychology and have been a certified life coach for 22 years. I am a certified facilitator for Equine Experiential Education and Emotional Poverty. My various certifications have required that I take continuing education every year. Continuing education includes trauma-informed therapies, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior techniques, mindfulness, leadership development, group facilitation, and existential/spiritual/metaphysical therapies.

I charge $125/session. $190 for couples. No additional charge for equine-facilitated sessions held at my farm. In person sessions may incur an additional travel fee of .50c/mile over 50 miles. Equine-facilitated sessions arranged near a client location will incur additional fees. Day-long Intensives may also be arranged with prices TBD.

I got started as a life coach in the mid-1990's when I became a craniosacral therapist and energy practitioner in Chicago. It was a natural progression as I worked with people to release muscle memory and heal their physical issues. Starting part-time, the practice grew to full-time in 2002 when I left a coporate career as a computer consultant. I re-established my practice in Georgia in 2006 through word of mouth referrals. In 2015, I added horses to my practice.

Gosh, I hate this question. LOL Who haven't I worked with? Over 22 years, I have worked with all kinds of people. Business people, families, couples, adults, children, teens. How do you separate out the coaching of a CEO when his issues are family related or she's going through a mid-life existential crisis? Or Middle Manager parent trying to learn how to keep his/her special needs family together? The first responder, veteran, medical professional, or mental health professional in PTSD or Vicarious Trauma crisis? The retiree who is figuring out who they wanna be when they grow up? The man or woman who needs help with dating and relationships? The man or woman who needs help through a divorce, a career change, grieving, or a medical issue? The parent relating to the child or vice versa? I've coached in all these situations.
