FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am new to this thervo site, first my apologies for any clients who have recently tried to contact me, I was having some major technical issues, but if you are interested in trying to work with me, PLEASE contact me again, I love meeting new clients, and working with those struggling against addiction. My process is to have you complete intake forms, have a phone consultation with you and potentially arrange a meeting.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA in Psychology from Agnes Scott College, I have a Masters of Science in Addiction from Capella University and a Masters of Sceince in Forensic Psychology from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom. I am currently working as a counselor where I support clients who are involved with the Clayton County Drug Court System. I have worked and interned at Mary Hall Freedom House in Alpharetta, Georgia, Julia Tutweiler Prison for Women in Wetumpka, AL and Primrose Lodge  a residential treatment program in Surrey,UK

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I provide a concierge service to clients, all pricing is determined by their specific needs and desires for treatment. All fees will be discussed with clients prior to starting services, but are individualized and carefully structured to match requested services.

How did you get started in this business?

I originally thought I wanted to work in Forensic (Criminal) Psychology. After working with wonderful ladies at Julia Tutweiler Prison in Wetumpka, AL I realized that there was a real need for professionals to address addiction and substance abuse in a different matter. THis lay at the core of many of the women and subsequent clients problems that I have seen. I believe in a holistic real approach.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with everyone, women and men.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently supported one of my clients in court and was able to help her obtain permission to attend a treatment facility versus incarceration. This was so meanful to me as I felt, treatment was far more valuable than incarceration for this circumstance.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Make sure it is a professional that you can establish a rapport with, someone you are willing to be honest with and someone you respect and trust. It is not important that they agree with you, for sometimes, it take looking at things and situations through different eyes to promote change.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Where they are in their desire to change. What ways can a counselor support them and what are their desired results.
