Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide a free consult over the phone in order to get acquainted and to set up a time to meet. We are currently providing therapy by phone as an added convenience, in lieu of the health pandemic.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters of Arts degree in psychology from NYU and a LMHC license from the state of Florida.
i worked in private practice for multiple years in both NYC as well as in Florida.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
$125.00 to 150.00 per therapy hour.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started working as a psychotherapist in New York, subsequent to graduating from NYU, by working in private practice with a variety of patients struggling with domestic abuse, anxiety issues, such as agoraphobia and relationship issues, etc..
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients who were being physically abused by their significant other; emotionally abused as a child, clients being currently emotionally and psychologically abused in their adult relationships; alcoholics; traumatized clients from previous situations and adults who are stuck in dysfunctional relationships, to name a few types of clients that i see on a regular basis and have helped completely to overcome their situations.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have helped our alcoholic clients to stop drinking completely; our habitual smokers to stop smoking; and our clients in abusive and/or dysfunctional relationships to learn to set boundaries or to end the relationships.
I also provide ways to deal with the painful past, in order to leave it in the past, in order to promote a better present and future.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The best advice is to speak briefly by phone in order to confirm if we are a good fit for each other.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The questions that customers should think through are basically, what are you seeking to gain via the therapy process. It is important to not only work thru the pain; but to be able to state what your therapeutic goals are as well.
