Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, helping clients feel comfortable is of utmost importance so that you are more apt to share personal information, your background/history, also known as a psycho-social assessment. Ascertaining an accurate diagnosis, and establishing a treatment plan with objective, practical goals and viable solutions, bringing more balance, and helping you to reach your optimal level of functioning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more than 20 years experience as a therapist, with my forte in addictions/substance abuse, and pastoral counseling.
I have a trifold undergrad degree in psychology, & pastoral/Biblical counseling, which assists those who desire pastoral counseling, all of which is compatible with the spirituality found in the 12 Steps, and science-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I acquired my masters degree from Florida International University.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My Base price is 75.00 per session. If there are financial
constraints, I am always open to negotiating a more affordable price.
How did you get started in this business?
I discovered my gift and calling years ago as a counselor. So my professional career is more of a vocation, and definitely a calling in helping others help themselves.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've had the privilege to work with children, adolescents, adults, in geriatrics, with addicts, those in the DOC system (Department of corrections), veterans, families, those with mental health and/or dually-diagnosed (addictions/mental health issues), with the overall objective helping those seeking a more balanced life, with an emphasis on the integrating the multifaceted aspects of living: (physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I read some of the reviews of current and former clients, and was warmed by their fondness of our clinical connection, expressing how much more balanced and happier thier lives are since counseling with me.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Keep in mind that one of the most important aspects of any relationship, and especially with something as personal counseling, is the "personal connection," and trust, which is the foundation of every healthy and wholesome relationship. My advice is to read my clients' reviews of how my service has helped them in assistanting you to make the right decision. God's blessings to you in your venture
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
First and foremost is a personal recommendation from someone trustworthy, and or my reviews. Specific issues are also important; finding someone with the knowledge and experience, as well as passion to address those issues in helping restore you to a happier, healthier and wholesome life/lifestyle commensurate with your life convictions, morals and deeply held values.
