What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Spend first twenty minutes on family history then share any concerns moving forward. Ask for specific need and end goal of our time together. Anticipate three meetings to accomplish what we can.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Focused on Pastoral care and family systems in my education training. Had five units or 15 months or intensive hospital training responsibilities included all aspects of care; cancer, psychiatric, intensive care, emergency and crisis care and staff support.
Pastoral career has utilized all my training and exposed me to alcohol addiction related issues. Extensive marriage and premarital preparation.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I normally Bill $120. We can work it out with insurance companies and their arrangements. Some pay up to 100% in these times of pandemic for four to six sessions. I'm learning this process as I go. I'm flexible and can slide the scale.
How did you get started in this business?
Just beginning to offer it as a service.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Couples mainly and those in crisis with finances.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Weddings are work but very rewarding at times. My last ceremony was between an older couple in their seventies. The preparation was entertaining and meaningful and the event was delightful.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Trust yourself and be as honest as you can. If something does not seem right after two sessions move on to another. There are good and bad counselors based on history there may just be bad fits.
a professional will understand if you want to try seeing another and may have a reference. I'm a firm believer in prayer.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How do see my probkem or issue? What has not worked in managing it and why? What expectations are you trying to meet? Are they fair expectations and your own, or someone else's.
