About

Are you getting married soon and are seeking pre-marital classes? Can you not decide in which direction to take you life, education, and/or career? Does your relationship need work or could be stronger? Does your life currently feel out of whack and unbalanced? Have you been feeling sad, down, or blue lately? If any of these sound like you, then it seems as though we should have a talk. Sometimes, we go through adjustments and phases in life, then needing to discuss or “vent.” That’s okay, too. I am here to help facilitate your journey through change.

My name is Stephanie. I am a nationally certified counselor, dually licensed in Mental Health Counseling as well as a Marriage & Family Therapy. I have been counseling since 2015.

I am best suited to dealing with couples therapy, pre-marital counseling, anxiety, depression, wellness counseling, and individual counseling. I welcome UCF, Valencia, Rollins, and Full Sail college students too. I am also working on a niche with military couples & families, including all the variables and stress factors associated with being or having been in the military. To summarize, I’m a life transition therapist, my goal being to assist with adjusting to any changes. Tambien hablo español.

My counseling approach is to have a comfortable conversation and listen to you. My theoretical orientation, although eclectic, is existentialism mixed with reality therapy.

I solely yet conveniently offer TeleHealth Medicine/virtual sessions, which works for clients who cannot make the commute, are traveling out of town, or have other obligations and cannot physically attend session. This has become adventageous and the preferred method amidst the COVID19 pandemic.

The most I enjoy about work is the rewarding and fulfilling feeling I get knowing I was able to help a client for the better. I have a full-time job and only conduct therapy part-time on the side, but I continue to do so simply because of how rewarding it is to help others. It feels like a job with a great sense of purpose.

    Frequently asked questions

I hold a Master's in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy. I am EMDR trained, a certified Family Mediator, Prepare/Enrich certified & obtained Gottman level 1 training for couples therapy.

My self-pay rate is $100 for 50-minute sessions.

A client looking to find a therapist should search for someone who can help them with their particular issue. During the intake session, where a biopsychosocial assessment takes place, it's important to gauge whether one feels comfortable with the therapist, and whether the two "click." If one finds that they don't, it's okay to verbalize this, to ask for a referral for a therapist who may be a better fit, or to keep browsing in online listings.
