About this pro

My experience and knowledge for being in this profession for a long time. I really listen with empathy and give you my full attention.  I try to make sure that we are the right match to work together since that makes the therapy experience easier. Please do not make your decision solely on the reviews since in our profession due to confidentially we can not request them. I can give you a free fifteen minutes phone consultation.

Although it is difficult when people is struggling, it is an honor being able to help someone and provide the space and support they need to flourish or to go back to that part of themselves that is kind of loss or hide behind the struggles they are experiencing when they come to me.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I have a conversation with the potential patient first over the phone to make sure that we are the right fit and then I schedule the intake appoitment which takes about 60 minutes. After that I see my patients at least for the first  two months once a week for 50 to 60 minutes sessions and after that we re-asses and move to every other week sessions if appropriate.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Master in Social work and my clinical license. I have completed specialized trainings on Postpartum Depression. I have to complete every two years 30 hours of training in different areas in order to keep my clinical license. I have completed the first level of the Gottman method to do marriage therapy.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

The price for individual therapy is $130 for the intake session and $110 after that. I also accept some insurances such as  cigna, united and avmed.

How did you get started in this business?

I started working for a community center back in 1997 providing therapy and teaching parenting classes. I gained experience there and got my clinical license. After that I worked for a non-profit doing home visits for pregnant women and new parents (providing counseling and teaching parenting skills) then in 2005 I went to work for another non-profit as the manager for a program that provide services to women that are going through postpartum depression. In 2015 I open my private practice and continue providing therapy and trainings for professionals that use the nurturing parenting curriculum.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with clients that were facing depression, anxiety or were grieving the lost of a love one. I also have worked with women that were going through postpartum depression and/or anxiety.
