I have been counseling in multiple settings for over 14 years. I have a holistic approach which means I am adamant about meeting clients where they are. I believe one size does not fit all but we are all unique and need a tailor made structure for our own individual healing.
Counseling is the art and science of learning ways to govern ones mind and heart. My ideal client would be "one," of many, as my experience is in crisis counseling, "we see it all,". My privilege has been to serve multiple individuals in the midst of crisis and some of lifes most devastating circumstances. My clients wanted someone to listen, who understood, and genuinely cared. Many of my clients were left with deep psychological emotional wounds. They wanted answers, restoration, non-judgement, and a place that was safe from the pain. They wanted to know that they still had a chance.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process of working with new clients is first to make sure I can serve them. First we discuss their insurance, or preferred method of payment. Then I we will talk with them about what their clinical needs, goals, and expectations are in therapy. If everything matches up we will schedule our first intake appointment. Initial intakes include lots of background information, history, and questions, which is known as a bio-psycho-social. Once this is initiated we discussed treatment goals establish meeting times and them start therapy sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Human Services. My foundational training has been in crisis counseling. I have also been trained in many different interventions such as CBT, DBT, Trauma informed care, Motivational Interviewing, Solutions focused, and many others.

Cash Accepted: $100 per session

Insurances Accepted. We will initially conduct an eligibility check to know upfront if your approved to use insurance as payment methods.
How did you get started in this business?
As a little one I have always had the inate gift to help or advise. This is where it all began early on. Counseling is like a second nature to me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of clients, my experience and background is versed in crisis counseling where we "see it all." I have worked with clients that have everyday life issues for example: self esteem, depression, anxiety, marital issues, communication, occupation, grief, ect. Its been my privilege to serve in many capacities while working in the mental health field.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Nami hosts a support group called "Youth on the move." This event us held at Directions for living 8823 115th Ave, N, Largo, Florida 33773. Its held the 4th Monday of every month @ 5:30pm dinner provided.
Audiences: youth and young adults ages 14-29.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask a list of questions to make sure you are able to connext with the right person to meet your needs.
