ABOUT JACKIE

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from State University of New York-Cortland and a Master of Social Work degree from Syracuse University. I have worked in a private practice setting for many years while concurrently working in a variety of other settings in the mental health profession including schools, hospital (psychiatric evaluator), outpatient mental health and alcohol and drug clinics, intensive outpatient christian counseling retreats, as well as with individuals (and their families) who have experienced traumatic brain injuries.

My Experience

With over 25 years of experience helping adults, adolescents, and children struggling with a variety of concerns including: Parent/child difficulties; anxiety; depression and bipolar disorders; marital relationships and divorce issues; overwhelming fears; stress and anger management; as well as victims of abuse and their families, I have had the benefit of seeing people make change in their lives resulting in their ability to experience life to the fullest.

My Approach

I approach therapy and work with clients using a style of warmth and empathy. I utilize a variety of clinical modalities including experiential, family systems, cognitive behavioral, strengths based and insight oriented, among others, with respect for your individual needs and requests.

I currently accept Medicare and Cigna insurances as well as many EAP plans. I will be adding additional insurance companies to this list very soon. I also work with people on a sliding scale fee basis.
