  • Dowman C.

Cordial, competent, compassionate and extremely professional.

  • Julia R.

I unloaded a lot of information on her for a first session. Despite all that, she was an incredible listener, more than just listening; she looked to understand and relate to what I was telling her. She made me feel comfortable to tell her everything and just talk. There was an instant click that made me feel safe. I really liked it, and would really like to work with her.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It will spend most of the initial visit getting to know you. We will talk about counseling process. We will also identify core problems and empower you to take charge of your life with greater confidence.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My pricing is $45 per session for clients in individual therapy, and $50 per session for couples. I accept both PayPal and Zelle. Although at this time I do not accept health insurance, I work on a sliding scale and will match your copay. I like to check in with my clients in between sessions.

How did you get started in this business?

My undergraduate background was in psychology and international relations. I pursued a career in counseling because I enjoy both problem-solving and enhancment of interpersonal relations.

I have helped clients with low self-esteem, co-dependency, emotional abuse, anger issues, family conflicts, toxic and dysfunctional relationships. I have also worked with people strugelling with substance abuse in residential setting. I work with individuals, couples and families.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently participated in an online fashion show after taking a long break from social events due to the recent pandemic. All attendees eventually concluded how important it is to maintain the practice of self-care and healthy self-esteem.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Ask a lot of questions. Avoid therapists who promise a quick or overnight fix. Do look for someone who encourages you to become the best possible version of yourself. If you feel respected, validated and supported, then you can feel confident that you have found a therapist who is a good fit for you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What is actually counseling and what do I expect from therapy? What is my main  and pressing issue? Am I willing to open myself up and share my story? If I have some questions and concerns, am I willing and ready to ask the therapist?
