About this pro

You've most likely reached out because of a mental or emotional struggle. However, in my practice I recognize that depressed/anxious/manic is not the sum of who you are.  There are many other factors that impact and come together to create your unique situation.  I believe in looking beyond these emotions and not just looking to relieve these issues but helping you to learn how to live your best life despite these emotions.  I have years of experience in CBT, person-centered therapy, Mindfullness and other approaches.  I have worked with clients with emotional struggles ranging from Bipolar disorders to just life stressors.

We all have similar experiences, but still we are all unique in our reactions and interactions. I enjoy getting to know what sets each client apart and working together with them to discover the unique combinations that will work to achieve their goals.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

At first glance your first visit may feel like a doctor's appointment. You will be asked to provide basic information related to insurance and/or payments and to sign paperwork relating to your treatment and privacy (Don't worry, this will all be explained and reviewed with you). You may also receive this paperwork prior to your first visit. Signing this paperwork does not mean you are required to continue treatment with me. I will discuss with you information related to participating and answer any questions you may have.

As your therapist, I will then work with you to develop a collaborative relationship; getting to know you better through asking you questions about yourself and what brought you here.   I encourage clients to attend at least two to three sessions before deciding whether this is the right fit for your needs. I encourage you to always be thoughtful and honest in your decision as this is a significant step in your journey to healing and self discovery and only the best is good enough.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I worked for over 8 years in Community Mental Health treating a myriad of mental health disorders.

I trained and supervised other soon to be practitioners at the graduate level and post-graduate level for licensure.
