About
An essential component of healing comes from self-empowerment, and I am interested in being a partner in creating your health. I believe that it is important that you understand what acupuncture is and does, and will explain the treatment process to you as we work together. I will advise you of self-care techniques to accelerate your healing, and will support you with any resources that I think will create balance.
I am passionate about helping people feel their best so they can live the life they dream of.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before beginning treatment, we will have a conversation about your condition and find out what you would like to focus on during the treatment. I will ask about your health history and find out about things like sleep patterns, energy levels, the history of your chief complaint and things that make your symptoms worse or better.
Next I will explain the acupuncture process to you and give you my assessment of the imbalances that are creating your symptoms and how we will treat them.
Once it’s time to do acupuncture, very fine, single-use, sterile needles will be inserted into points on your body. Generally anywhere from 5 to 20 acupuncture points are used at one time and treatments last between 30-50 minutes.

How did you get started in this business?
I received my first acupuncture treatments in my early twenties when I was struggling with some health challenges and was immediately hooked.
I’ve always wanted to be in a “helping” profession, but didn’t know exactly what that would look like. After my experience with acupuncture, it became clear to me that I wanted to share this amazing medicine with others.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Because acupuncture activates the body's own healing ability it can be used to address almost any health concern. I have worked with a wide variety of conditions, and most of my patients have come in with one of the following problems:
Pain - chronic and acute from injuries, overuse, accidents, or degeneration
Sinus and allergy problems
Digestive issues
Fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression
Sleep issues
Menstrual and hormonal imbalances
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was so happy about how quickly one of my patients responded to acupuncture. She has been struggling with up to three migraines a week since she was 5 years old. After about 4 weeks of treatments she was down to one migraine in three weeks.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone you feel comfortable with and that you like, and make sure they are NCCAOM certified and licensed through DORA.
Bear in mind that most conditions will take at least 5-7 treatments to show improvement and as many as 8-10 treatments for more chronic conditions.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How many treatments they expect you might need.
Experience with treating your condition.
Location - is it easy for you to get to? Acupuncture is very relaxing and you might not want to spend a long time driving after a treatment.
