I work with gifted and adopted individuals. I live using play therapy and horses or dogs in my work. I am gifted and have a felt sense of how it is like to be gifted.
I enjoy helping my clients strive in their lives by helping them finding and embracing their authentic selves.
Horses and animals are great partners as they instinticvely know how to help people recognizing and accepting the parts of themselves they do not know about.
I have beenan Equine and animal assisted therapist since 2014. I work with children, teens and their families. i am a certified Riding Instructor with Path Intl, am trained in EMDR (for trauma treatment). What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work at the office or with horses at the barn. To start with, we will meet for a 75 Minutes Intake at my office. For Children this meeting is with parents only.
If we determine that we are a good fit, we will meet at the office or at the Barn (when working with horses).
When working with horses, no horse experience is required. We will start sessions by touring the facility and observing the herd. In the first session, we also usually choose a few horses you are attracted to.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After 25 years as an executive in the Telecommunications Industry, i decided to change career. I graduated from Naropa University in 2015. I am a path International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Mental Health Equine Specialist. I am trained in EMDR, and certified in Synergetic Play therapy.

I do individual and small group work. Both types of work are different and powerful in their own way. We can discuss about that choice when we meet for an intake.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been a senior executive in the telecommunications industry for 25 + years and needed to change career. I wanted to work with horses and help people.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
In my own Journey, the moment i decided that i needed a change in my career was a beautiful and powerful moment.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Choosing a therapist is a difficult decision. I advise my clients to meet with me and get a feel of me. if you "like" your therapist, the chances of success are much higher. I also recommend to do 3 sessions to make that decision.
I recommend to do weekly sessions.
