Alpine Psychotherapy
About
I am a trauma specialist, focused on helping you heal emotional distress (such as overwhelm, fear/anxiety, and depression) following stressful or traumatic experiences. I provide evidence-based services to help you find relief and heal traumatic stress so that you can regain a sense of safety and grounding, and find emotional wellness. I also provide services to recreational/professional athletes who have suffered sports-related distress, are facing emotional barriers following injury, or seek to resolve performance blockages.
I value an authentic and collaborative relationship, and seek to provide a space that is safe and accepting!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years experience in the field. As a trauma-focused therapist, I view most emotional challenges as emotional "injury", usually as result of external stressors. I do not believe there is something wrong with you because you feel the way you do. I believe that whatever you have experienced in your world has impacted the way your brain chooses to navigate any given situation. In sessions, I integrate EMDR and Brainspotting with mindfulness, DBT, and CBT as appropriate to resolve emotional injury so that you can feel better.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are interested in working with me, the first thing we will do is schedule a free 15 minute phone consulation. During this phone call, I will ask a bit about why you are seeking counseling, and tell you a bit about me and what to expect as we begin therapy. Then you will have time to ask me any questions you might have. If it feels like a good fit, we can schedule our first session together!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a BA in Psychology, MA in Clinical Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counsleor in Colorado, and have been practicing for 10 years. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, both targeted modalities used to resolve trauma.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $150 per session. I accept cash, check, HSA, or credit card.
I do not currently work with any insurance companies. I am happy to provide a superbill for you to subit to your insurance company for reimbursement (if this is something they provide).
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient counseling, elementary, middle, and high schools, and psychiatric crisis. I have worked with individuals, families, and couples. My experience is primarily working with trauma and attachment challenges.
Currently, I work with adults and adolescents ages 15+.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Your comfort and trust in who you hire as a therapist is paramount! Ask plenty of questions so that you feel safe and informed. In counseling, the relationship is one of the biggest contributors to change, and not every therapist is a great fit for every client. Take your time, and find the therapist that feels like the right fit for you!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Here are some things to consider asking about when looking for the right therapist:
1) Training and background/experience and specialites
2) Therapeutic modlalites
3) Fee and cancellation policy
4) Availability/location
5) Any questions you might have about your unique expereince
6) Anything at all! Therapists should be transparent and open to anything you might want to ask.
