About

Each and every single individual has a story, a story about their lives and in that story contains many layers that shape who we are as individuals. Due to each experience, event, positive or negative interaction in our lives we have come to formulate a certain image and perception about ourselves. Based on the messages we received as children and throughout our lives we have learned to either love, hate, criticize, compliment, accept, reject or neglect parts of ourselves.

I have experience working in both inpatient/outpatient settings, serving individuals/couples with severe mental health, domestic violence, individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, substance abuse, grief and children who struggle with developmental disabilities. My approach to therapy hopes to bring warmth, honesty, and authenticity.

Many of us don't feel comfortable in our own skin, feelings of anxiety, depression, unworthiness and hopelessness evolve. In a supportive, nurturing environment my goal is collaboratively work together to understand the root to your underlying struggles and learn to love and nourish all parts of us to further enhance our relationship to ourselves and others.

I enjoy providing Individuals with a non-judgemental enviromental to work through their personal struggles. I enjoying working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, infidelity, relationship conflicts, domestic violence, identity formation, and individuals who are facing trauma.

Frequently asked questions

At Golden Hour Counseling, we prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and personalized experience from the very beginning. Our process starts with a brief consultation to understand your needs, goals, and preferences. From there, we match you with a therapist who is the best fit for you or your family. Before your first session, you’ll complete intake paperwork so we can better understand your background and what brings you in. During the first few sessions, we focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, clarifying goals, and creating a tailored treatment plan. As therapy continues, we work collaboratively with you (adjusting approaches as needed )to support meaningful growth, healing, and lasting change.
Golden Hour Counseling is led by licensed professionals with advanced training in mental health and psychotherapy. Our clinicians hold Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy or related fields and are either licensed or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Our team has experience working with individuals, couples, and families across a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. We utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based work, and mindfulness-based techniques. We are committed to ongoing professional development to ensure we provide high-quality, compassionate, and up-to-date care.
We offer transparent and flexible pricing to meet a variety of needs. Session fees typically range from $120–$175, depending on the provider and type of service. At this time, we accept the following insurance plans: • CalOptima • Aetna • Blue Shield • Optum For clients with out-of-network benefits, we partner with Mentaya to help simplify the reimbursement process. Mentaya can assist in verifying your benefits and submitting claims on your behalf, making it easier to access care. If you have questions about coverage, fees, or finding the right fit, please reach out—we’re happy to help guide you through the process.
Golden Hour Counseling was created מתוך a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families feel seen, supported, and understood during life’s most challenging moments. Our founder began working in community mental health and private practice settings, gaining experience with diverse populations and complex life experiences. Through this work, it became clear that many people were seeking a more personalized, compassionate, and high-quality therapy experience. Golden Hour Counseling was built to provide exactly that -a space where clients can slow down, feel safe, and begin meaningful healing and growth.
• Marital conflicts • Infidelity and trust repair • Anxiety and depression • Trauma and past experiences • Relationship challenges • Substance use concerns • Domestic violence • Life transitions • LGBTQ+ related concerns • Health-related challenges, including HIV/AIDS
One of the most meaningful experiences for us is witnessing the “breakthrough moments” our clients have in therapy. Recently, we worked with a client who came in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure of how to move forward. Over time, through consistent support and reflection, they were able to gain insight, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with themselves in a powerful way. Moments like these—when clients begin to feel hope again and see real change in their lives—are what make this work so meaningful to us.
Finding the right therapist is less about choosing the “best” provider and more about finding the right fit for you. It’s important to work with someone you feel comfortable with, understood by, and safe opening up to. Look for a licensed professional with experience in the areas you want to address, but also pay attention to how you feel during your initial interaction. Therapy is a collaborative process, and a strong connection with your therapist plays a big role in meaningful progress. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, explore a few options, and trust your instincts when making your decision.
Before starting therapy, it can be helpful to reflect on a few key questions: • What am I currently struggling with or hoping to improve? • What goals do I have for therapy? • Do I prefer in-person or virtual sessions? • What qualities am I looking for in a therapist (e.g., direct, gentle, structured)? • What is my availability and budget? • Do I plan to use insurance or private pay? You don’t need to have all the answers—therapy is a space to explore and gain clarity. Simply having a general idea of what you’re seeking can help guide the process and ensure a better match.
