Frequently asked questions

During a free 20 minute phone or video consultation, I will help you to come up with an action plan with goals you would like to work on in counseling.  We will work together as a team and I will share with you approaches and resources that best match what you are looking for.  If for any reason, we decide that I may not be the best fit therapist for you, I will help you in connecting with other therapists that better fit what you are looking for.  My aim is to help support you so that you get the best possible care.

I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Latino Counseling.  I am a domstic violence group facilitator for the Los Angeles County Probation Department as well.  I have training in anger management, neuroscience, trauma work, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy.  I have worked in a school setting and work with clients from middle school age and up.

Pricing varies based on length of session and if the sessions are individual, family or couple therapy sessions.

I work with clients who have chronic pain, chronic illness, health anxiety, medical trauma, women's health concerns, autoimmune illnesses, life transitions, grief and loss, depression and anxiety.

I am really enjoying watching the World Cup!

Go with your gut feelings.  Does the counselor make you feel comfortable and do you really feel they are understanding what it is you would like to work on?  Do you feel they get you?

Asking the therpaist if they have experience working with clients on certain issues is a great starting off point.  For instance, does the therapist have expertise in helping couples cope with infertility?  So in other words, whatever topics are relevant to you and what you want to work on can be asked in the initial call.
