Kimber Serna is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Redding, California. Her passion is working with couples to improve their relationships. She enjoys working with communication issues, healing relationship trauma and increasing commitment. Kimber also has extensive training in dealing with sexual addictions. In addition to these issues, she loves working with individual, adolescents and children in a variety of general, therapeutic presentations.
Kimber received her Bachelor of Science from University of Phoenix in Human Services in Colorado and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Simpson University in Redding, California. Kimber believes assisting couples in healing their relationships is the most rewarding work in the world.
In Colorado, Kimber was under the supervision and training of Dr. Doug Weiss Psy.D. in Colorado Springs where she counseled clients and facilitated group therapy for families and individuals affected by sex addiction. She is the author of a recovery manual for women who love sexual addicts. This manual was used in Dr. Doug Weiss' clinic.
Kimber is also an experienced motivational speaker. as she has helped many of people find success their full potential and experience success in their personal and professional lives, through her Quest for Success seminars. Her success has been discussed on print Good Morning America, Iyanla, Marie Claire Magazine, and Success Magazine. Kimber has been a leader in the community giving her time volunteering at One Safe Place, Family Dynamics Center, and the Child Abuse Coalition. Her internships include divorce mediation, adolescent probation, traumatized youth and children interventions.
Kimber Serna is happily married and has raised two daughters and two sons who are the light of her life. She enjoys fishing and traveling. How did you get started in this business?
I have over 17 years of experience with counseling. I started counseling in Colorado and was mentored there by Dr. Doug Weiss. I worked in the addiction field and with families who flew in from all over the world. I have special certification in trauma focused therapy and have taken many courses on holistic approaches to help people heal in the core of mind, body and spirit. I love helping them find the core of the start of the problems they are facing and helping them gain empowerment to becoming their best. I am now in process of a CAMFT certification of Supervisor to meet the highest standard of care for all my clients needs.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have extensive work with groups, children and adolescents. I have worked with families and couples for years helping them with communication and conflict resolution.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of my new building and the new associates which are fantastic and help us service a wide varity of needs with their talents and abilities.

Make sure they are a great fit and give them a few sessions to find out. Relationship takes time.
