Frequently asked questions

I talk with the client on the phone briefly and make an appointment for intake. I do not do any free consultations.

I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. I also have Doctorate education in Counseling Psychology with Dissertation still in process.

I charge $100.00 cash per hour and I also take Health Plan of San Joaquin Medi-Cal.

I got started in this business as it is a natural path. I found I could help more clients through Private Practice rather than working for a managed care practice.

I have and I work with Couples, Individuals, Children, Families and Groups. I have worked with many different Cultures inclusive of LGBTQA.

Recently I had a Client compete Therapy services after about 2 years.  When I first started seeing this client the client was adamant about not wanting to take medication and wanted to only do Therapy.  So in terminating with this client, I asked the client what was the most important thing they had learned?  The client informed me that they had learned that even if they feel depressed they understand they have a ladder to climb out of their depression.  That the depression is a temporary feeling, it will pass and they have the tools to change their thinking to move into the solution.

I think the clients need to understand a Therapist can guide you however unless you do the work your situation will not change. Therefore be open and prepared to feel uncomfortable at first.

The questions depend on what the clients are seeking Therapy for, its difficult to specify something in particular.
