Meg Reinis Newman Psychotherapy
About
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, life transitions, self love and care, and trauma. I utilize two types of treatments for trauma including braisnpotting and a somatic reprocessing.
I love working with people going through life changes. This could mean career changes, relationship changes, or working on behaviors and patterns they see in themselves that they want to change. I help people reconnect with their own inner wisdom and figure out what is most right for them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe that therapy works best when you
feel seen and heard. It is important to find the right fit. I like to speak on the phone first to hear a bit about what you want to get out of therapy. And then give you a space to ask questions of me. After that, a first meeting will help us decide if it is a good match.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 2003 I obtained a masters of science in educational psychology with an emphasis in counseling marriage and family therapy. I also have specific training with CBT, the Trauma Resiliency Model and with Brainspotting. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2002 and licensed since 2009. I have worked with adolescents, adults, families and couples in private practice and in therapeutic treatment programs.
