Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Lots of listening and asking questions to understand the problem completely.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with lots of experience and additional education and training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Normally $100 per 60 minute session, but I have a sliding scale for those who are financially challenged.
How did you get started in this business?
I had lots of problems, and I always read self-help and personal growth books. I also went to a ton of workshops.
What types of customers have you worked with?
all types! Now I only work with adults. No children or minors. I specialize in helping men learn how to get in touch with and express their feelings. I had a lot of trouble with that in my past... I also work with couples and women.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Hearing from my clients how much I have helped them. I love helping people learn to love and take care of themselves!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Keep talking to a lot of therapists until you find the right one for you. Most will give you a free consultation before you’re “on the clock”. Ask a lot of questions! If it’s not clicking for you after a few sessions, find another therapist...
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be clear about what you want and expect from therapy. Write it down. Make a list!
