About
There is almost nothing more enlivening and exciting than experiencing the joy of healing, or watching another person heal. I am honored to regularly act as both a facilitator and a witness in the process of transformative healing that can and should be the experience of therapy.
I am presently limiting new cases to those where I historically have brought the best and most lasting results: Trauma (women and men), and women, Specifically, who are healing from anxiety, depression or the lasting effects of abandonment or narcissistic abuse.
I can help you get noticeable results. My approach to therapy includes the mind and body. As we work together, I will pay close attention to which things work for you and which things don't.
If you’re a psychiatric professional (therapist or prescriber), please specify if you are looking for a competent guide to help you and healing from your own wounds as your personal therapist, or if you are considering my services as a professional consultant.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I often start with a cost-free chat, either on the phone, or in person if our schedules align. This is a way for you to meet informally with me before spending any energy doing paperwork. There will be no pushy sales pitches or pressure to hire me - our free session is purely a chance to chat with me about what matters most to you, and see how you feel about working with me before deciding. It's also fully okay to let me know if you are trying out several therapists before choosing one.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in clinical social work, and a law degree, as well as experience and training in treating a broad variety of mental health conditions and Trauma.
Although my law degree and law background does not directly relate to the healing process, it has regularly helped me to relate to clients that either are dealing with the stress of working as a lawyer or who are dealing with or healing from difficult legal circumstances.
When it comes to healing from loss or trauma, talk is cheap, and often not very helpful. I take a direct processing approach that often will involve a lot of mind-body work on the front end with more of the usual forms of therapy and counseling as you start to experience actual healing that you can feel day to day on a bodily level. I help people feel more at home and at ease in their own skin, and often as they start getting used to engaging in the healing process in their day-to-day life, many of the things that are taught in counseling start to happen spontaneously, such as being able to draw healthy boundaries, recognizing thinking errors, and experiencing useful insights and thinking of things in new ways.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My direct-pay, non-insurance rate is presently set at $100 per session for individual therapy or one hour of couples therapy. Two back-to-back sessions may occasionally needed for couples' work involving more complexity or intensity. If you plan to use insurance, we can discuss which carriers I work with.
My rate for specialized consultative services, including therapeutic intervention planning, executive coaching, or facilitative meetings for families and/or businesses is $150 per hour. I may request an initial retainer for consultative services, and will ask for reimbursement of reasonable expenses for distant travel or other incidental costs when that is necessary to do the job requested. This additional cost would not apply, however to regular sorts of therapy sessions that occur within the office and within my normal schedule.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with women and men. Veterans, business owners, medical and legal professionals, couples (polyamorous or mainstream), college and graduate students, sex workers, and average working stiffs who are trying to build a better life or perhaps raise a family while dealing with life's complexities. I have also often assisted people who are in recovery from addiction or managing chronic mental illness, many of whom have survived various forms of abuse including domestic violence, sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. I typically work with adults, though I also work with young people who are approaching adulthood.
