Sessions Bodywork
About
I’m Eric. I’m a licensed massage therapist for the last 4+ years now, and owner of Sessions Bodywork. I understand people, all kinds/types/personalities/walks of life, and try my best to be a professional that you know you can trust, that also makes you comfortable so you can be yourself without worrying about not feeling safe. I try to be approachable but always let you lead the conversation, so you know you can ask me whatever you have questions or concerns about, but not feel pressured by my answers or actions at all. My sessions are built around you, the client, individually, every time.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically there's a consultation first. I would love to be able to do every client intake interview in person, but with the crisis and time management both being issues, sometimes it's easier to have a video chat on Zoom, Skype, or WhatsApp. I can't assess everything that way, but I can get a good jump on the process and get the client intake forms emailed to you right after that and it ususally only takes a few minutes to get acquainted and have a better perspective before we actually meet up and have the first session. You can ask me what you want to find out, and I can address any concerns that way. It saves a lot of time and unnecessary legwork for us both.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist, through TX Dept. of Licensing and Regulations. I went to Cortiva Institute in Arlington, TX. I hold certifications in CPR and a few in alternative healing therapies. Just ask and I will be happy to provide.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I usually have session times broken into two categories:
1. Table Sessions 60, 90, & 120 minutes go for $75, $100, and $120. I have multi-massage session packs that are pre-paid also. Ask about pricing if interested in 4 or more massages and you can get great deals.
2. Chair Sessions 5,10, 15 minutes go for $15, $20, $25 but there is a $10 travel charge anywhere if there's not more than two chair sessions booked in that location.
*All sessions are at least held with a deposit at the time you book*
How did you get started in this business?
I was tempted to prove myself to someone and I ended up proving myself to myself. I was intrigued and stayed more and more interested with each new modality I was introduced to throughout the duration of my education, as well as after my education at Coriva finished.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have to keep things in perspective now, especially with the Coronavirus outbreak and the pandemic taking too much time to figure out the do's and don'ts of the world of massage therapy. Hygiene has been a huge factor from the very beginning of the job anyways, but now having to show the whole process to the clients while you attempt to keep the attention on the massage and the client and not the tools being cleaned, sometimes it really is a hard task and can be almost impossible to do.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions, and then ask more questions. There's nothing worse than getting something you didn't want, or even getting something you expected to be different. Just ask questions and be sure to order the services and the providers associated with that service knowing full well what you're paying for and getting in return.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Make sure that payment options and taking the payment is done prior to the service due to the inability to make changes on the fly and sometimes be able to rearrange the session or type of session you have ordered.
