About
My specialties are working with anxiety, depression, and relationships. Our most modern research is showing that a lot of how we manage our moods and stressful events is wired into our brains by about age 2. This means that a lot of our coping skills for when we are exceptionally triggered are automatic, something we don't even think about. We often will choose to pull away and isolate, or more closer to those around us (sometimes subtely and sometimes with a bit more intensity). Many of my clients find it helpful to begin learning about these dynamics that they experience in relatinoship and how we can adjust behaviors to be more productive in managing our moods and thoughts.
I have been working the the field in various capacities for about 10 years, and completed graduate school in 2013. I'm dually licensed in the state of Oregon as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Some of my work experience has been working in correction, chemical dependancy, community and county mental health, teaching graduate students, and private practice. I have been in private practice for 4 years.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A tpical process for enrolling in counseling with me is to first, contact me and get you scheduled!
After we have you on the schedule, I will send you an email with my address, time of our appointment confirmed, and an intake packet. The intake packet will include information about me, my approach, fees and services, and your background info.
During the first appointment we will go through the symptoms your experiencing and develop a treatment plan to suite your needs.

Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Oregon, 2009.
Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from George Fox University, 2013.

A standard intake session is $150 for 50 minutes
A standard appointment is $125 for 50 minutes
A standard couples appointment is $125 for 50 minutes
I am also on many insurance panels, and if you are wanting to bill through your insurance, I am happy to run your elegibility and benefits to let you know what your co-pay or co-insurance rates are.
