About this pro

I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. My experience has spanned various ages, diagnoses and treatment modalities. When it comes to working with individuals I am willing to utilize whichever techniques work best for my client. However, when it comes to working with couples I exclusively utilize the Gottman Method. In my experience it is the most encompassing method available to couples. It thoroughly identifies the strengths and vulnerabilities of a relationship and applies research proven methods to achieve lasting results. While no approach is guaranteed to work for everyone, the Gottman Method is the best hope a relationship has. I am about to complete my Level 2 certificate for this method and I'm the only counselor, to my knowledge, in the South Jersey area offering this level of expertise when working with couples.

I greatly enjoy helping people to live their best life. It is never my goal to turn people into who or what I think they should be but who they are most comfortable being. I want people to be true to theirselves and learn how to create the happiness they deserve.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The process is different for individuals vs couples. For an individual, I like to allow my client to fully dictate where the sessions go. I try to meet people where they are and provide skills to help them get to where they want to be. I'm patient and don't push too much too soon. When it comes to couples, there is a prescribed methodology that is adhered to. The first 3 sessions are strictly about assessing the couple both in person and through online questionnaires. Afterwards, Gottman techniques are used to address current concerns in the relationship as couples present them or according to the level of severity of need.
