Hi my name is Telisha Seagle. Thank you for choosing me as your counselor. In May of 2019, I received my M.A. in Professional Counseling. I received my Master’s degree from Liberty University and could not wait to start counseling. I have completed my state license test and my license number is #A15138. I strongly believe you should feel comfortable with the therapist you choose and should have a positive therapeutic relationship. I believe that each and every individual is capable of self-direction and growth. In counseling, I strive for a therapeutic relationship with each client that is facilitative to those ends. During sessions, I strive to maintain an environment containing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. My therapeutic style is primarily based on an eclectic style, however, I meet you where you are with whatever theory you are in need of and how I can help you. I am a Christian therapist but will never push my beliefs on to you. We give meaning to our beliefs, which in turn influence our feelings and behaviors. Beliefs are formed from life experiences, both positive and negative. We often feel that our emotions are controlled by others. This, however, is not true. We possess the power to control our thoughts, change our feelings and ultimately modify destructive behaviors.

The goals of my treatment are helping lower emotional turmoil, symptom reduction, and/or reframing the presenting problem. I will work in collaboration with your primary care provider or psychiatrist, if you are on medications. I will provide psycho-education to you regarding any mental health diagnosis you receive. I look forward to working with you. I will be working a variety of populations including, men, women, children, couples, family, and premarital counseling as well as marital counseling. The issues that I work with are depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bereavement, family issues, chemical dependency as well as physical, mental, and sexual abuse. I will also work with individuals who have trauma. I began working on my EMDR training July 15 and will began working with clients with trauma. EMDR is a great therapy to utilize when working with trauma. I have a mandate to report when there is child abuse, a suicidality that turns into an intent, elderly abuse, or homicidally.

A standard session is 50 minutes in length. The fee for the rendered service is $60.00. We accept insurance and Medicaid. If you have concerns of our therapeutic relationship, please consider talking to me about it first. I abide by the ACA code of ethics which is online. If you feel you are in violation of the codes or feel you have any concerns with me please contact my supervisor, Jeff Watts-844-622-3572 or 704-865-4068 ext. 15.
