What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first session together is about getting to know you and your current concerns or situation, and what you hope to achieve. This is where we begin to build our relationship and ensure you feel safe and comfortable. We will discuss the therapeutic process and what that will look like for you. Once all the preliminaries are out of the way, we'll get started towards moving you in the direction you desire to go, with practical and realistic steps that are comfortable making and can agree to take.

Fee for service for video, tele-health, or live in person is $95. Some insurances and EAPs are accepted: Tricare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Baycare, ComPsych, Ceridian Lifeworks, Magellan, Av-Med, e4Health, Beacon, Military One Source.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with adult individual male and females, as well as adolescents, ages 12+. I also work with couples. I have been in the field since 1994, and like to utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach for issues such as anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone you feel you connect with and feel safe with. See if they offer a complimentary consulation to get a feel for how they would work with you. If you're not feeling comfortable, keep looking. Finding the right fit for therapy can be a great step in the right direction!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
When stressed, depressed, or anxious, get a journal and try to to identify exactly what you are feeling. The write to explore in response to the question, "What's it all About?" Then brainstorm your best response. This can be very revealing and helpful to share in therapy.
