About
I am a disciple of Carl Rogers. That is to say that I exhibit an unconditional positive regard for all clients. Also I do not judge people as they disclose their situation, because I cannot help anyone if I am judging them. As my client begins to make progress, I adapt and use a different modality to assist them. For instance, perhaps it is advisable to begin exploring what will happen after the therapeutic rationship ends. Will there be aftercare, will there be a formal exit plan? How can I continue to help the client transition back into an environment where they will be able to flourish. I am. Also guided by principles of my Christian faith, as I strive to put God first in everything I do. When I do that I am a much more effective counselor and coach.
I am motivated to help individuals that may be suffering from trauma, addiction, compulsive disorders, mental health issues, or want to improve themselves or their relationships in some way. I am a client centered counselor who has been helping people do just that for over 37 yrs.
