About this pro

In addition to being a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, I'm also a Coach. My passion is to help my clients overcome whatever blocks their road to success and joy and to help them improve their quality of life.

I help my clients quit smoking, lose weight, get rid of phobias, negative thoughts and behaviors, improve their relationships(and golf game) and to awaken the spiritual being that resides within them.

I have a profile on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and my website is www.http://jscotthypnosis.com

I've had a successful practice in Scottsdale, AZ for over 20 years, I have my BA from Ottawa University, have been certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist by both the Atwood Institute of Research and Education as well as by the American Board of Hypnotherapy.

I love helping people and making a difference in their lives. When I accomplish this - which I do on a daily basis - it makes a difference in my life too.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

What's most important is to create a rapport with each client. Once this rapport is created, I ask appropriate questions that will help me accomplish whatever goals my client wants to accomplish.

I always give a clear explanation of what Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are. Then I make sure my client understands the difference between Conscious and Subconscious Mind. Finally, I test to see the suggestibility of this client. The more suggestible, the easier my work will be. However, even if my client is not that suggestible, I've been trained to facilitate this process.

Once rapport is reached, I use appropriate suggestions to achieve the desired outcome.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA from Ottawa U. in Phoenix, AZ., a Certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist from the Atwood Institute of Research and Education as well as from the American Board of Hypnotherapy.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I charge $250. for my first session which is always an hour and a half. That might be the only session but it can also be applied to one of my two packages:

5 sessions - $695.     10 sessions - $1150.

After the first session, which is an hour and a half, the rest of my sessions are an hour.

How did you get started in this business?

I received my Hypnotherapy training at the same time that I  attended Ottawa University. And after I finished my Hypnotherapy training, I gave complimentary sessions to many people until I felt confident to start charging for my services.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with both men and women and still do. I also work with teenagers. The men I work with usually want to quit smoking, manage their stress, lose weight or increase their sexual stamina. The women usually want to lose weight, mangage their stress, depression or anxiety and the teenagers usually have some form of anxiety.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I just began working with a couple yesterday for Coaching. They're very different from each other and are in their early 60s. He's a Conservative Republican. She's a strong Liberal. He's much more outgoing, she's more of an introvert.

Since they are empty-nesters now, they need to re-discover who they are individually as well as find new ways to be together that are nourishing.

They were holding hands throughout most of the session and I could see that they both yearn to grow together but don't know how.

I enjoyed getting to know them and look forward to helping them find more joy in life both individually and as a couple.

They have paid for my package of 10 sessions.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a company in your area of expertise?

I would tell any potential client many of the same things I've written in this questionnaire.

What questions should customers think through before talking to companies about their needs?

This question is not appropriate for my expertise.
