Jill Scott Counseling

I have over 15 years experience treating people with substance use disorders specifically those with other mental health issues as well such as PTSD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. My goal within session is to meet the patient where he is rather than where I might expect them to be which allows us to work together and make rapid progress. This means that the patient is in charge and I simply help them clarify what changes they desire, the best way for that individual to achieve the goals, and create motivation to make the changes. I also have experience in coordinating with physicians to be sure that all issues are treated. All techniques used are evidence based or theory driven. Counseling is my passion and I believe each patient deserves every chance possible to recover.

I am becoming more interested in ihelping tranagender individuals face the unique challenges that are inherent to this group.
