You don’t have to figure this out on your own. We can walk along side you to help you figure out a new way and a new path. We are experienced at helping people improve their relationship with themselves, the people they care about, and the world around them. We accept people where they are at and for who they are with no judgements. We truly believe that people are doing the best they can with what they have. We love working with creative and really looking for growth and healing.
I am a Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (6230-125) and Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (16236-131) in the state of Wisconsin. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor.
My counseling style is eclectic, primarily focusing using on Positive Psychology and Trauma Informed lens; utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness / Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), sensori-motor psychotherapy, and Eco Therapy interventions.
I am certified in Brief Solution Oriented Trauma Resolution (BSOTR) and a certified trainer of the BSOTR technique as well. I have been trained and certified as a Therapeutic Game Master, through Geek Therapeutics. I am a certified Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) therapist, supervisor, and trainer through MDFT International. I am also phase one certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) through the Child Trauma Academy and level 1 trained in Gottman Method of couples therapy through the Gottman Institute. I am a trauma informed care trainer in SaintA’s 7ie of trauma informed care.
But most importantly I know that people heal in different ways and are in different places in their personal journeys and want to work with you to help you heal and grow in the best and most impactful way for you and your loved ones. The thought of "going to therapy" can be daunting and it is my goal to make this work as impactful and safe as possible by utilizing whatever is most helpful for my clients; nature, walking, games, art, movement and yes talking.
