About
I have always been great with meeting new people and making them feel comfortable talking with me. I enjoy helping people to put their issues into perspective, and helping them work through any challenges in their life. Though this is my first year working professionally, I have volunteered for years with children and underprivileged adults. I have a master's degree in Forensic Psychology.
I truly and genuinely enjoy helping people. When I have a client with a tough challenge that is able to use my guidance and start seeing some improvement, I am thrilled. I have always had a knack for talking to people for a short while, and having clear insight into their personality, perspective, and concerns. I use this unique ability to help people I meet with any issues they are having or relationship troubles. I care about people, and I believe that most people can improve their own circumstances - they just might need a little bit of guidance to get there.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With a new customer, I'd like to establish a little bit of history and learn about your life, in order to gain some understanding of where you are coming from. Then I'd like to explore exactly what challenges you are facing, and help you to work out what the best possible solutions may be for your life goals.
I do tend to have a unique and realistic outlook on life. Having experienced many difficult situations and relationships myself, I try to set achievable goals and expectations when I am handling a new challenge. I also understand the realities of life - life is hard and messy, and very often, not fun. There are ways to successfully improve your outlook and your ability to handle stressful experiences.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in forensic psychology. This degree has exposed me to the process of counseling and helped establish a solid background in how the mind works, but also provided me with a great understanding of possibly detrimental behaviors and disorders, and how to address those behaviors to make a positive change.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $25 for a 30 minute session of counseling.
How did you get started in this business?
My first job as a teenager was as an assistant to the volunteer coordinator at a teen crisis intervention shelter. I fell in love with the counseling environment and saw firsthand the staff's ability to assist teenagers and families with any crisis that would arise. I still believe that one of the most amazing things one can do is help other people, and I have noticed that I have an ability to relate well to others, making it easier for me to help them with their personal challenges.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with counseling all types of clients from stress management and crisis intervention to basic life guidance.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When looking to hire a professional, I suggest requesting a meeting with potential counselors or therapists and/or asking any questions you find pertinent. Counseling and therapy rely so much on trust and a positive relationship between both parties, and without that, the services will not be successful.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Before talking to a pro, I suggest thinking about your challenges and goals. If you have a desired outcome that you are working toward, it may make your process easier. If you need advice or crisis counseling, simply consider which area of expertise will best suit your situation, and be sure to find the right fit in a counselor. Counseling is about your journey, and you need to be sure to find the right person yo wall beside you on your path, guiding you and helping you to find the best way to manage your situation.
