About
I am a licensed counselor who has 20 years experience in the field. My specialties are addiction/eating disorders and marriage and family, with a certification as a Communications Facilitator. I also am a certified whole-health educator and take a very holistic approach to healing and mental health.
When I was young, I used to draw before and after pictures of people...ALL the time. In my role as counselor, I see lives, marriages and individuals changed for the better on a regular basis, and it brings me back to those drawings in my youth-I was born for this. I enjoy meeting new clients and hearing their stories, as well as helping them sort out the things that may have gotten tangled over the years of simply living life.
I have been in practice for twenty years and still feel the call, and find my work to be immenesly satisfying.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe a client needs to be perfectly comfortable with their counselor to reap the full benefits of therapy, so I tell potential clients that if, after the first visit or so they do not see me as a "fit" there will be no pressure to continue. I also believe in a whole-health approach to therapy, which can include dietary information or other aspects of health that is integrated with mental and emotional wellness.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in counseling and a certification as a Whole-Health Educator. I am also a certified Communications facilitator, a craft that is very helpful in all types of counseling. Although I am trained as a pastoral counselor, religion, per se, does not have to be part of the counseling equation-sessions are client led, and any kind of spiritual counseling would only be at the request of the client.
