About
I have a unique ability to assist others to "relax" and to talk about their personal issues in a non-threatening environment.
As a "Pastoral Counselor" (since 2009) I utilize "Person-Centered Therapy" (founded by Carl Rogers) whereby I allow the client to "tell their story" and find their own solutions to life's problems and issues.
During the first "intake" session, I provide a "Confidentality Disclosure" so that the client understands that everything that is revealed during our Counseling session is strictly confidential.
I enjoy helping others to understand that the "adversities" in life are simply "stepping stones" for living a victorious lifestyle. Utilzing our faith is the key to unlocking the door to the many blessings we receive from God. Although we must stay on "high alert" we should live our lives withouit fear. Ultimately, we need to "Be Strong in the Lord,"and in the power of His might. Ephesian 6:10-17.
I earned my Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theologial Seminary, Washington, D.C. in 1994. I also have taken graduate courses in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University (on-line).
I am currently the pastor of Church on the Hill (a non-denominational para-church Corporation) and the President of the "National Network of Christian Men & Women" We assist small business owners to start, grow, and expand their enterprises.
