About

My approach to counseling is to treat the whole person; mind, body and spirit. What we think and experience affects our whole self, not just our minds; so, while depression and anxiety, for example, affect our mental health, our physical and spiritual health are impacted too.

I am a non-judgemental, compassionate, whole person counselor who is an active participant in counseling sessions. I ask questions, of course, listen intently and give feedback; all of which helps my clients to reach the counseling goals and outcomes they set for themselves at the beginning of counseling.

I have been a licensed counselor intern for four years. I am provisionally licensed by the state of Texas to provide counseling; however, within a few months I will have met the 3,000 counseling hours needed in order to become a fully licensed professional counsellor (LPC) in Texas.

I graduated in 2015 from St. Edward's University in Austin, TX with a master's degree in counseling.

Creating a strong aliance with my clients from the very beginning of counseling that help my clients to relax and to trust in the counseling process. It is a joy to see my clients grow in their self-awarenress while gaining better mental, physical and spiritual health as we work jointly together on the issues and challenges that brought them into counseling.

Frequently asked questions

I provide a warm, caring, safe space for my counseling clients  to feel confident about being honest with me about their concerns and challenges.  Together, my client and I will map out what his or her therapeutic goals are and work jointly to reach those goals.

I also provide video counseling over the computer via a secure server.

I have a Master's degree in counseling from St. Edward's University.  I have been a licensed professional counselor intern for five years.

My counseling rate is $60.00 per 50 minute session.

Upon graduation from St. Edward's University in 2015 in Austin, Texas, I began seeing clients in my supervisor's office in South Asutin in 2015.

I have treated people with depression, anxiety, life transitions and grief issues both in person and via the computer.

I am very proud of my clients when they successfully reach their therapeutic goals. I work with them every step of the way and know how much effort they put into reaching those goals.

It is important to feel a connection with a therapist upon the very first time speaking with the therapist.  If no connection is felt by the perspective client, I would suggest contacting as many therapists as needed until that connection is felt; as without that connection right from the start, no real therapeutic progress will be made.

What is your reason for going to counseling?  What do you hope to gain through therapy?

What type of therapist best suits your personality - a non-directive therapist (one who offers little or light guidance, meaning you will be doing most of the talking during the session) or a directive therapist (one who asks questions, offers suggestions, listens intently and gives feedback)?
