Turning Point Counseling And Psychotherapy
About
I have worked with adolescents with multiple diagnoses, with specialized training in eating disorders, anger management and mood disorders for over 26 years, beginning with training at the renowned Chestnut Lodge in Rockville, MD. The training continued at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. I have also had a private practice since 2003, where I treated women's issues, adolescents, couples and families.
I use many therapeutic techniques, including: cognitive behavioral therapy, Adlerian, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy, to name a few.
The thing that I like MOST about being a therapist is seeing people become self-actualized and autonomous. Everyone has the power within to become better, more whole and to heal. Sometimes, we all need guidance to get there.
