I am going to step out from behind the shadows just a little and reach out to those who are hurting or feel and deep sense of loss and loneliness or maybe feeling overwhelmed with anxiety!! Stephanie is a wonderful person to reach out to! She is so caring and very inviting and calming! Her sense of caring and words of wisdom are heart felt and uplifting. I know there are so many out there who are feeling like the world is going to stop with this COVID-19 world we live in . Maybe you didn’t really know where or who to connect with . Stephanie may just be the one for you to find that center in your life you have been searching for! I personally know and trust this awesome Professional...... Please Please Please take a deep breath and send her a message, it’s awesome to know that there is some one to turn to that’s open and caring ! Now .....Go wash your hands!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We typically begin with a free consultation session to talk about the patients history and determine the best path moving forward for him or her in regards to therapy. This also allows the patient to determine if I'm the best fit for them and their needs. It's not manadatory to have a consultation session before scheduling your first regular appointment though.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to help people who are struggling with depression and anxiety in order to live more meaningful and satisfying lives.

During adolescence, I found psychology interesting and loved the subject and decided to attend the University of North Texas where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology.  After college, even though I worked outside of the mental health industry for awhile, the calling to work in the field of psychology and help people never subsided.  As such, I went on to earn my Masters of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University so I could finally pursue my passion of psychology and helping people.

I've spent many years working in the public mental health sector serving people with severe and persistent mental illness with diagnoses of bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia and addiction. I also spent valuable time working with Dallas' homeless population while working as a therapist at The Cottages at Hickory Crossing, the tiny house community in Dallas for the chronically homeless.

During my career I have been blessed to give back in many ways. I've given several speeches for The Altshuler Center for Education and Research for Metrocare Services in Dallas to raise awareness and funds for the Center in order to continue the education of doctors, therapists, and mental healthcare professionals training through Metrocare Services and the research studies conducted by these professionals.
