Chikeitha Owens is the owner and founder of Abundance of Hope Counseling. Abundance of Hope Counseling was founded in 2009. Chikeitha is a caring person and therapy is a passion that goes along with her desire to help others.
Chikeitha Owens is "Speaking on Purpose" She is a Professional Speaker and will come to your event and can craft a mental health message for your audience based on your topic or you can choose from a list of recent topics she has spoken on.
She has worked in the social service/mental health field for the past 20 years, spanning from inpatient substance abuse /psychiatric settings to outpatient psychiatric. She currently practices Independently at Abundance of Hope Counseling in Corinth, Texas. Through an eclectic approach she provides individual, premarital, marriage and couples counseling. She comes to your session using creative interventions along with life experiences a wealth of resources and knowledge. She provides individual and family therapy to the general public and also to children in Kinship, Adoption and Foster care placements. This has allowed her to go into many homes and observe many different family dynamics. For years she has provided Kinship Assessments/home studies for children being placed in care. She is skilled in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Typically it depends on what service is needed counseling, business consultation, speaking engagement, etc. Request by email or phone giving a brief description of what service is needed and how their needs can be accommodated.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Education: Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Sciences from Southwestern Adventist University.
Master of Art degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University.
Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas
Previous Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas (decided to no longer practice under this license but still have the years of training and work experience)
