FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Free initial 15-20 minute phone/video conference to discuss desires and determine good fit, then scheduling first session, if desired and good fit.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Masters in Pastoral Counseling and a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Counseling.  I am Board Certified in both Pastoral and Christian Counseling.  My doctoral research and thesis was on reconciliation and rebuilding trust.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Standard rate is $150/50 minute session.  We do not charge different rates for individual, couples, or family counseling, or our life or relationship coaching.  For those who have a big problem paying that rate, we may have donated scholarships available to lower the cost.  We are a nonprofit and want to help all those who genuinely want help.

How did you get started in this business?

As a pastor, then military chaplain, I spent a lot of my time counseling marriages and families.  As a result, I sought increased education to better help them.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Wide variety in all areas.  Financially well off to financially struggling.  Many different Christian denominational backgrounds.  Single never married, divorced, widow/er, dating, engaged, and married.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

We know not everyone will choose us to help them, but we want everyone to get the best help for themselves.  Toward that end, here is a free resource to help you decide which counselor is right for you.  Just visit http://j.mp/2Nrz5Pe to get "Help Choosing A Counselor."
