What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically gather information about why they are seeking counseling, how long has the issue been going on, and identify a plan for addressing and managing those the pain points.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a pre certification training called Equpped To Counsel at Austin Stone during the fall and spring of 2016-17. And then I took an online certification program from Association of Biblical Counselors in June 2019.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes I have a standard price of $110 for IndividualCounseling and $125 for CouplesCounseling.
How did you get started in this business?
I received formal training and felt a passion and calling to help people. My website contains more information about why I entered this profession.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with married and dating couples, divorced individuals, adolescents, and people who struggle with addictions, anxiety, anger, depression, and loneliness.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was able to attend a wedding of a former middle school student of mine. I'm a retired school teacher. She expressed how much of an impact I had on her life 12 years ago as a student in one of my classes.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would advise them to ask for references and to speak with the person by phone or visit their website or reviews before hiring the person.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Is this counselor relatable and easy to talk to?
