Kathy Stringer PhD, LPC(S), MAC, CHt, DCC,NCC is a licensed, nationally certified professional counselor. She has a doctorate in Health Psychology. She has worked for many years as a counselor; as well as with hospice as a bereavement/spiritual counselor.
With her individual practice and her hospice experience, she has worked extensively with with children, adolescents,young adults, adults and the geriatric population. Kathy particularly enjoys helping the young adult College population working with anxiety, panic attacks and depression diagnoses.
Her specialties are in health psychology,
individual, group with adults, young adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples. Her therapeutic modality is from a biopsycho-socialspiritual (wholistic perspective), to include using EMDR(eye movement and desinitization reprocessing) and Hypnotherapy.
She has been a Psychology adjunct faculty professor at the University of Phoenix, City Colleges of Chicago, the Art Institute of Charleston, Kaplan University and Liberty University. Kathy is also a supervisor for LPCIs (licensed professional counselor
interns).
