About
Julie Rainbow is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research and has been a social worker for 20 years. She provides mental health therapy to individuals, couples and families with a focus on relationship concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma and micro-aggression identification. Her deep, intrinsic motivation to help people succeed and achieve their best possible lives guides her practice. Julie utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach, guiding the client to their ideal self. Her initial goal is to address concerns and immediately equip the client with coping tools using mindfulness exercises and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive techniques.
Once the client is physically and emotionally ready, Julie helps identify what may be perpetuating unhealthy patterns or exacerbating clinical illnesses. To explore the past and present, Julie draws from Narrative, Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) therapy techniques, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Julie has a straight forward approach while maintaining a down to earth atmosphere. She has a long history of practicing yoga, meditation, and healthy living; elements she often integrates into treatment plans to increase mind-body interconnectedness.
