Exodus Counseling
About
I look at the past your family of origin and how that effects you presently with thoughts and actions learned from them. I also look at being present and being aware of yourself and your surroundings and how it effects you and how you effect it. I think the main focus I have is learning to accept your emotions and learn from them rather than have them dominate you.
I enjoy helping people to develop into their true selves and liberating themselves from the fears that keep them stuck and the lies they tell themselves that entrap them into feeling stuck. I love seeing clients becoming their true selves and being content with who they truly are and overcoming their obstacles and fears and limitations to become themselves and accomplish the many things they have wanted to.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first appointment is going over the intake which asks the client about everything from their symptoms to their family, their substance use, their cultural background, spiritual background, connections with others, and trauma if it occurred. It is very detailed asking them also about each symptom they might have checked off. The next appointment is focusing on the main target area through a client centered approach where I am not challenging you except if you ask to grow. I am doing alot of reflections and summaries and understanding of what you say to support you. I also point out emotions you are having are trends that I hear you do. I can give workbooks or homework to work on at times.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in counseling.
