About
I desire to compassionately come alongside you as you journey through the peaks and valleys of working toward healing and restoration. I hope to create an atmosphere of safety, warmth, empathy, respect, and authenticity so you can feel empowered to be yourself.
I grew up in South Dakota, where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies. I moved to Lynchburg, VA to earn my Master’s of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University. Currently, I live in Charlotte, NC.
My counseling experience primarily consists of helping adolescents and couples. I worked with adolescent males struggling with substance use, trauma, boundaries, behavioral and sexual issues, as well as life transitions. I also served as a life coach to foster youth. As a Prepare-Enrich facilitator, I have helped couples through premarital and marital assessment and improvement. I have also supported adult women through depression, anxiety, anger, transitions, past hurts, and spiritual issues.
Through a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems theory, I engage with clients to promote growth in necessary areas of change. I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families work from their brokenness to wholeness.
