Call me, to book an appointment and start changing your life!
Counseling has been my passion and my profession for over 25 years. There are so many things I love about counseling: providing a safe and nurturing space for folks to discuss and examine what they don't even want to admit; building an alliance with an individual; respecting the pain of another's grief; validating another person's lived experience; teaching and practicing mindfulness and new coping skills; observing the empowerment that comes from re-connecting with the Divine within; helping folks distinguish their thoughts, feelings and behaviors; seeing that people do recover!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin getting to know each person in a FREE 15 minute phone call consultation. During that call we will decide if we are a good fit for each other. If so, we will schedule our first appointment, and if not, I will provide a referral to a provider I believe will better suit your needs. If we agree to work together, I’ll email my intro packet, complete with a portal link to my confidential and secure online platform. The packet includes my policies, procedures, and brief intake form to be reviewed and returned, prior to our first appointment. This way, our time can be spent focused on you and your goals, and developing a plan of action to meet (or exceed!) those goals. Together we will explore barriers to your progress, and take stock of the personal strengths that can help you overcome the obstacles and grow into the life you envision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in addiction counseling since 1991.
Master of Social Work (MSW) from NCA&T / UNCG, 2019
LCAS #25432, NCASPPB, 2019.
- LCSWA #P014014, NC Social Work Certification & Licensure Board (NCSWCLB)
- CADC #1422 - Certificate Date: 1997.
- NC Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB)
