I specialize in trauma and anxiety disorders. I am a certified clinical trauma professional, and I am in the process of becoming a certified anxiety professional.
My work is largely center around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also use DBT, Mindfulness based CBT, and Narrative Therapies. I enjoy utilizing art and sandtraytherapy when a client is willing.
For children, I use Child-Centered and Adlerian play therapy
I believe that hope and healing are available to everyone who walks through my door. Watching that process unfold - being a part of that journey - is a joy and a privilege

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a 30 minute free consultation to allow you to get to know me a little to see if we are a good fit. I most often schedule weekly sessions to work on symptom regulation. once symptoms become mangeable, we will begin exploring root causes of the anxiety, depression, etc. while also working on skill building: relaxation skills, corrective thinking skills, and emotion intelligence, among others. I like to gradually bring therapy to an end, going from weekly to bi-weekly sessions and ending with a few monthly check-ins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold an MA in professional counseling from Liberty University.
I am certified as a trauma professional by the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
I anticipate becoming a certified Anxiety Professional within the month.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I am credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, and I can file out of network with most other insurances.
My out of pocket fee is $85.00.
I work with Open Path Collective to offer a sliding fee schedule ($35 - $50) for clients who meet financial guidelines.
How did you get started in this business?
I hold an undergraduate degree in Art. I considered pursuing art therapy exclusively, but I decided to become a professional counselor who utilizes art interventions instead.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Children, ages 4 - 12 (primarily with emotion and behavior regulation)
Adolescents, ages 13-19
Adults (20 and older)
