What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process begins with a phone consultation in order to understand the needs of the client.
We will schdule our first session time and date.
Next I will send a link to my website where ther are forms that can be downloaded, completed and brought to the first session. If preferred the client can come 10 minutes before the appointment to fill them out in the waiting area.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri.
I have degree in elementary and special education where my focus was with ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities as well as supporting parents who have children with these challenges.
I am completing training in Trauma work currently.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Fees are $90 a session which is 50 minutes.
Women's anger support group meets for 90 minutes for $50 a week for 14 weeks. The next group is starting October 29, 2018
I do not take insurance but can fill out a form for you to turn in to your insurance provider (out of network) to be reimbursed.
How did you get started in this business?
I had been volunteer counseling for 15 years and so enjoyed counseling that I got my Master's degree in Counseling and am fully licensed as an LPC.
I have been at Killeen Counseling & Associates for over 4 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Couples' work is a big part of my practice.
Individual work with women of all different ages and stages in life with such issues as anger, anxiety, depression, grief and relational conflict.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
It is very important to be able to talk to a potential Counselor by phone or in person to get a feel for if it would be a good fit. Counselors are limited in the bio they write so talking with them could give you a good feel for how they would be in person.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
You as a potential client want to communicate your problems as well as what you are hoping for from the counseling experience.
