About
many (46) years of experience. Have helped people with all sorts of problems. I am a retired psychiatrist. Earned my MD in 1962. I wrote a book about my 46 years as a psychiatrist. It can be found on Barnes&Noble.com when you look under my penname Ichabod Green MD. One of my patients said at the end of treatment: "you helped me become the woman I wanted to be". Another, many years later, told a mutual acquaintance of how I had helped her get over her fear of driving. Still another told me that I saved her life.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
See the therapist once or twice to see if you feel comfortable with them. I feel discussing political or religious beliefs in therapy as a waste of time, except that knowing the client's beliefs can help me understand what their needs are.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Whether they have already tried simpler and faster means of help to no avail before trying psychotherapy.
