Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial appointment can be set up via email or phone - it only takes a few minutes! Our caring, compassionate team will gather a little information and set up a time for you to come in and meet one-on-one with one of our doctors of physical therapy. Depending on your needs, the doctor may talk to you about your pain rating, test your range of motion, test your balance, and discuss your needs and your goals. They will develop an *individualized* plan of care, tailored to you, to get you better, faster.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our physical therapists are licensed by the state of Massachusetts. Additionally, our therapists have certifications in specialties such as vestibular disorders and concussions. FlexPlus requires each of our therapists to take continuing education each year.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We accept most commercial insurances, Medicare, and Medicaid/MassHealth. We also offer reasonable self-pay rates and packages for people without insurance or out-of-network with their insurance.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our patients range from a few weeks old to 102! We treat orthopedic disorders, like back pain and post-surgical cases, vestibular disorders, like balance and dizziness, sports injuries, and neurological disorders like Parkinson's.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find the right fit for you. Don't rely on a doctor's recommendation or a known name. You want a physical therapist who treats you as an individual, not someone who treats all injuries the same. A physical therapist should listen to your goals and work with you to come up with a plan of care. You should not be left on your own to do exercises, someone should always be with you. And, since you'll likely be in physical therapy for a few weeks, find somewhere that you don't mind - maybe even enjoy - going!
